Roy & Gordon Roper Memorial Cup
In 2024 the Roy and Gordon Roper Memorial Cup, a tribute to the family’s remarkable 80-
year legacy with New Plymouth Boys High School and the club, was introduced. This award
honours the outstanding contributions of Roy and Gordon Roper, whose dedication to rugby
and community has left an enduring mark on the school and club.

The cup is awarded to a player who embodies the spirit of camaraderie and rugby
excellence. It is open to any player who has joined directly from New Plymouth Boys’ High
School and has made the most significant contribution on and off the field.
The prize includes a cup and $500.
