The Harold’s have made the NPOB Division 1 team a family affair with Matt Harold coaching, and Chris Harold managing. Chris Harold has given all aspects of club life a notable effort in his first season as management at NPOB. Matt Harold is also supported in coaching the Division 1 team by Prems centurion Jacko Carrington who may struggle with counting team jerseys but has an ability to build team morale and knows his way around a field better than most. James Wilson and Thomas McElroy both bring their energy and experience and well groomed facial hair to the coaching/management team
Players to watch this season: The man who can do everything (well most things), Matt Harold, not only coaches but is a man to watch on the field where he runs it straight at men twice his size and somehow still comes out the winner of the tackle. NPOB Board Treasurer Liam McBride’s beard is not only a fashion statement but is rumoured to help his aerodynamics running past defence lines. Egmont Seafoods up and coming man, Caleb Mawson, joins the team again this year with a new and improved side line crew as he has recently become a Dad to a future NPOB baby. Sam Wiringi leads our bunch of men with humour, confidence, and a work ethic that is second to none.
Our Division 1 men enjoy the after-match part of rugby where they are always open for a beer and chat with any supporters and if you ask nicely may even shout you a drink at the Whitehouse.
