It has been a huge start to the season, with some great matches played across the grades and NPOB confirmed as winners of the inaugural Taranaki Club Trophy.
The Taranaki Club Trophy was played for during the opening three rounds of the season, with the winner having the highest combined points across Premiers, Div 1, and Colts. It was a tight battle between us and Stratford Eltham, with both clubs level on points leading into the final weekend. A strong display from all teams vs Spotswood at home meant that we took the honours, including the hosting rights for CMK Club Finals day at the end of the season.
Next up is Coastal this weekend, where we will be hosting our Old Timers Day with a packed schedule of activity, including a beer tent, memorial for the late Peter Burton, and after match functions. Timeline below:
- 12.30pm – Old Timer Day starts & bar opens
- 1.00pm – Div 1 and Colts game; Beer tent open
- 1.45pm – Finger Food & Nibbles; Peter Burton memorial
- 2.45pm – Premier Game
- 3.30pm – Colts after match
- 4.30pm – Div 1’s after match
- 5.30pm – Premiers after match
Following this, we have home games vs Stratford Eltham (18th June) and Clifton (2nd July), and away games vs Spotswood (11th June), Southern (25th June), and Inglewood (9th July).
