We hope you have been enjoying the season so far! Our boys have had some great games away and at home, with teams all having a good run in the early stages of the season – including our inaugural u85 team, competing in the National u85 Tournament, who had their first win (38-0) over the weekend vs Poneke Wanderers from Wellington in Whanganui.
If you want to get updates on how the teams have played, we send out match reports weekly to Friends of Old Boys members. If you want to be added to the list you can register here for your membership. Note, those who have registered already can collect cards and welcome gifts from Sonia at the club.
Upcoming we have some solid matches on the cards including some great events. Read below for more details including information on our Old Timers Day happening this Saturday 13 May.
- 13 May: Home vs Tukapa; Old Timers Day.
- 18 May: Div 1 Family Night @ the Whitehouse.
- 20 May: Away vs Stratford-Eltham.
- 27 May: Home vs Coastal.
- 3 June: Away vs Clifton.
- 8 June: Colts Family Night @ the Whitehouse
- 10 June: Home vs Spotswood; Pacifica Night.
Old Timers Day is this weekend and we are looking forward to catching up with past players! We will also be hosting a special auction of premier players jerseys from their match vs Tukapa – the jerseys have been made to support our charity partner Autism Connex and will be auctioned at the after-match function. See below for details of the day:
- 1pm: Drinks and Nibbles for Old Timers
- 1pm: Div 1 and Colts vs Tukapa
- 2.45pm: Premiers vs Tukapa; Note, special edition Autism Connex jerseys to be worn.
- 5.30pm: After-match function begin: Cap celebration for Codey Rei (100) and Adam Smith (50); Austim Connex jersey auction.
