April Newsletter

April has been a huge month behind the scenes – and there is a lot to get through. Read on for updates and get excited for what is shaping up to be one of our biggest seasons yet!

The Lighting Project is full steam ahead, with us looking to break ground soon and installation to begin. Due to shipping delays, we are expecting lights to be ready mid June – and we are looking to celebrate this with a big party to say thanks to all our sponsors and supporters!

Pre-season has been tracking well with great numbers, and we will be heading out to Clifton next Thursday for a pre-season match kicking off at 6.30. Reach out to coaches if you want to have a run – or if you are keen to head out and support the boys, make sure you get out there for what will be good battle with Clifton.

Our 2022 Merchandise for players and supporters has been launched, you can view and purchase here. I recommend getting orders in early as the deadline for May/June delivery is 26th April. Do not miss out on your opportunity for some great NPOB kit!

We are also excited to launch our new supporters clubs, Friends of Old Boys. Replacing our honorary membership, the Friends of Old Boys club aims to provide the ultimate supporters package including a supporters hat, complimentary access to club matches and events, and most importantly – a free beer or wine at all home games in the 2022 season. Read further for more information on how to join!.

With the season starting in a couple weeks, we will also be hosting our first event of the season, Sponsors Night. Pencil in Thursday 5th May and come celebrate the start of the season with our players and sponsors. More information will be shared on social media and online soon!

And finally, we are excited to welcome Andrew and his team from Carefirst Physio to NPOB. They will providing physio care to our players both on and off the field. Reach out to the team through their website here if you have any niggles that need some work!

Huge thanks to those behind the scenes putting in valuable work to pull all of this together!

Cheers,

Keith Mawson, NPOB Rugby Chairman.
